Musical Instrument
Musical instruments are not included in passengers free baggage allowance. Normal
excess baggage charge and conditions apply and are accepted on a space available basis only.
Diving Equipment
Scuba Diving equipment is accepted. Normal
excess baggage charge and conditions apply per bag checked and is accepted on a space available basis only.
note: the scuba tank
must be emptied of compressed air and the regulator valve removed.
Golf Equipment
There is no special charge for golfing equipment. Golf bags are accepted as a part of a passenger's free baggage allowance.
Bicycles
Winair is not able to accept Bicycles which are not disassembled and properly packed for carriage. The weight is not included in the passenger's free baggage allowance and therefore bicycles are subject to a charge of:
US$ 50.
Bicycles will only be accepted on a space available basis.
Note: To ensure easy storage in the aircraft holds, the front wheels of the bicycle should be removed and attached to the frame; the pedals turned inwards, the saddle and handlebars lowered and placed in line with the frame (i.e. handlebars turned sideways) and the pressure released from the tires.Surf Boards
Due to the limits of DHC Twin-Otter Aircraft hold, Winair is not able to accept Surf Boards on our flights.
Others
Extra pieces of baggage or pieces heavier or bigger than the free allowance rules will be subject to
excess baggage charge and will only be accepted on a space available (standby) basis.
